Are Dispensaries Hurting The MMJ Movement?

Are weed stores, I mean dispensaries, hurting the medical marijuana movement?

That's a view shared with me by a long long time, triple O.G. farmer.
He feels most average voters in Cali look at dispensaries and kinda go "medical, ya right sure looks like a weed store, dispensary owners are in it for the money, they don't care about healing and helping people."

I feel he may have a point. Many voters I have spoken to do not see much um, well, "medical" stuff going on at MMJ dispensaries.
Too many dispensaries are in the business of openly slanging weed. Not providing medication to seriously ill patients as they should be.

Many if not most MMJ dispensaries cater to "stoners" not the sick. The public sees this, it can't be hidden.

Most voters I speak with echo the same sentiment...'this is not what we intended when we passed Prop 215. It's so easy to get they might A's well legalize it.'

So where does the blame lie in letting the MMJ industry in Cali go unregulated for sooo long?
The state legislature for not regulating and controlling the MMJ industry?
Maybe the voters for passing a very loose law with so many holes in it might A's well be a slice of Swiss?

Or is it the recreational smokers with no true medical necessity for cannabis, for taking advantage of these flawed laws Prop 215 and SB420?

Probably all of the above right?

WRONG!!!

The entire "dispensary problem" in Cali is the responsibility of the Federal Government for ignoring medical studies proving cannabis can treat many illnesses safely and effectively, not listening to doctors, and patients who have told them time and time again about marijuana's benefits.

*Cannabis has no business being a Schedule 1 drug.*

The Feds say Schedule 1 drugs are "highly addictive with a high potential for abuse" and "have no known medical value." Doctors cannot study or prescribe cannabis even though many know without the shadow of a doubt cannabis is a useful and needed medication.

The Feds have left the states no choice. To debate the medicinal values of cannabis with the mountains of data proving it's effectiveness seems similar to claiming the world is flat.
It's ignorance to take the view weed has no medical qualities or values. You are not properly informed on the topic if your of the opinion pot isn't medicine at least for some. Lots of folks just like to get stoned ya I know.
Voters in 17 states have passed laws allowing cannabis use for people who need or use it medically. They did this because the Feds have dropped the ball. The reason is irrelevant.

The media also seems to always show clips at dispensaries of people toking up who seem to be very healthy. Or they interview the most stoned person at a MMJ rally.
The media has most certainly had an impact on the way in which these establishments are portrayed.

It's ironic that the MMJ industry is under attack by Obama's administration when the Federalis are the sole reason we have "dispensaries".
Marijuana is a drug, its medicine just like Advil, Vicodin, Pepcid, etc. It should only be sold at pharmacies... (until it is fully legalized then we'll be able to get it the same spot we buy our zags and blunts!)

Big ups to the 17 states with the balls to go against federal law and allow access to a substance that can help a lot of people.
Hey Mistah President and Congress isn't it your sworn duty A's public officials to provide for the well being for your citizens? Hah?
Those 17 states said well if the Feds won't, we will.
So then you all start shutting down access to this medicine state voters decided to OK only because you guys won't OK it?

17 states boys and girls. Voters in 17 states think the Feds got this one wrong. How big will that number have to be before our federal gov does the right thing?

30 states? 40 states? All 50? My goodness that would be down right embarrassing.

We better than that right USA? Congress? You listening?
